Alwin Gordon Crawford

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Alwin Gordon Crawford, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, who departed peacefully on October 25, 2024. Born on February 19, 1948, Alwin lived a life filled with love, resilience, faith, and a deep commitment to family and community.

Alwin was the cherished son of the late Frances Agatha Crawford and grandson of the late Francis William Crawford. He shared a significant part of his latter years with his late wife, Lovina Hamilton Crawford, and was previously married to Avril Noble Crawford and Dorsil Haynes.

Alwin was a man of unwavering faith, dedicated to God and his church, inspiring others through his example and belief in God's grace. He was a devoted father to Nicole Crawford-Latus and a foster father to Cammie Parker, Paul Parker, Peter Parker, Kirk Parker, Shaun Morris, and his beloved pet, Heeba Crawford, a Siamese cross. He was a loving grandfather to Jovensky, Kammie, Kienan, Kwinton, Courtney, Deshaun, Chevaun, Xavier, Johnathan, Charmayne, and Malone.

He was the brother of Eunice Agatha Small of Trinidad, Barbara Hellen Crawford of Calcutta, Mahaicony, Prince Lloyd Crawford (known as Tony) from Guyana, the late Frank Andrew Crawford, and McNeil Faucett Crawford (known as Maxi). He was also a father-in-law to Louis Evens Latus, Lidya Parker, Princess Parker, Sylvia Parker, Charmaine Parker, and Meka Morris, and an ex-in-law to Frederick Small, Caroline Grimes, Audrey Noble Small, Yvette Noble, Noelle Noble Griffith, Michael Noble, Gavin Noble, Charles Hooke,Trudy Boatswain, Marcy DeSilva and William Rutherford.

Alwin's family ties extended deeply, as he was an uncle to many, including Karel Small, Keri-Ayoka Small, Hyrone Johnson, Aletha Shepherd, Keane Crawford, Duwayne Crawford, and Jonathan Grimes. He will also be fondly remembered by many friends, including James Ramcharran, Norman Goodchild, Goodluck Douglas, Paul Anderson, Clayton Charles, Kenneth Jr. & Nadine Harriage, Tasha Hamilton,Catherine Peters, Beryl Reid, Kenneth Bristol, Lorna King, Alwin Pierre, Joe McDonald, Claude Wolword and Jacqueline Da Silva.

Relatives include Francis Downer, Aubrey Crawford, Harold Crawford, Dunstan Crawford, Larry Crawford, Lewis Crawford, Hannah Vaughn, Joyclyn Hytmiah, Joylyn Crawford, Donald Crawford, and others, as well as Hazel Noble, Queen Wilson, Faye Munroe, Michael Crawford, Randolph Semple, and Berthrand Crawford and their families. The late Victorine Moses and Marjorie Downer, Maude Bullen McKenzie, Donald Downer and Katherine Downer Phyll.

Celebration of Life
A viewing for Alwin Gordon Crawford will be held at Seawinds Funeral Home, 735 South Fleming Street, Sebastian, FL 32958, on November 9, 2024, at 11:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 PM. Alwin will be laid to rest afterward at Fountainhead Cemetery, 7359 Babcock Street SE, Palm Bay, FL 32909.

A repass will immediately follow the interment at Seawinds Funeral Home, 735 South Fleming Street, Sebastian, FL 32958.
