Obituary

Anthony Mario Napoleoni, Jr., 53, of Sebastian, FL passed away on September 5, 2021 and will be forever in our hearts and in our prayers.  He was born in Providence, RI.  Anthony was the loving husband and best friend to his wife, Erica Marie Napoleoni (Quattrucci), for 29 years, married 26 years in November.  He was a devoted and loving father to his two sons, Nicolas Anthony Napoleoni and Nathan William Napoleoni.  Anthony enjoyed radio broadcasting, voiceover work, collecting and playing vinyl records, jamming on the drums, biking, walks on the beach, and his dog Uno.  He adored his family and the home they built together.  He was talented, funny, and liked by everyone who met him.  Besides his wife and sons, Anthony leaves behind his father, Anthony Mario Napoleoni, Sr., his mother, Beverly Ann Swanson (Simone) and her husband Donald Swanson, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Anthony worked in radio broadcasting for 38 years, most recently as the Director of Talent Development for iHeart Media.  He aspired to talk on the radio since he was a child.  At 15, Anthony worked part-time for WKRI-AM in West Warwick, RI announcing Red Sox baseball games.  After high school, he could be heard on-air at WXIN on the campus of Rhode Island College, where he earned a BS in Communications.  As "TJ Napp", he worked as a professional on-air talent in Providence, RI for KIX 106 and 92 PRO-FM.  In 1995, Anthony progressed to larger market station 95.5 WPLJ in New York City, and was given the name "Tony Banks" by radio greats Tom Cuddy and Scott Shannon.  In 1996, he was tapped for his first programming position and became the Program Director/Air Talent for 98.5 WKRZ in Pittston, PA.  Anthony continued his radio programming journey working for Y-100 in Miami, BOB 93.3 in New Bern, and 107.1 WA1A in Melbourne, FL.  He joined iHeart Media (Clear Channel) in 2012 as the Senior Vice President of Programming for the Midwest and was named Director of Talent Development by 2016.  As Director of Talent Development, Anthony recruited, coached, and mentored on-air talent, enjoyed working closely with his mentor Dennis Clark, and loved growing the iHeart brand until his untimely death.  You will be greatly missed my love.
