We are sad to announce the passing of Barbara Ann Carroll Brow, originally from Boston, MA. Barbara passed away peacefully at the age of 85.

She was born to the late Joseph and Gertrude Carroll on December 2nd, 1939 in Boston, MA.  She was a retired account executive at the Boston Globe newspaper. She was married to Seamen First Class Ernest Louis Brow, and they lived together in Hyde Park, MA and Hookset, NH before retiring as snowbirds in Hampton Beach, NH and Pompano, FL.

She was an active Yacht club member who enjoyed sailing every chance she got. She was a proud member of the ELKS, American Legion, and Veteran of Foreign Wars. She always spoke her mind, whether you wanted to hear it or not.  She loved playing bingo, participating in the Friday road trips for lunch, and let's not forget the occasional glass of wine.  Barbara was a tenacious woman with a quick wit, a big heart and a big smile to match.  If she was your friend, she was your friend for life.

Barbara will be laid to rest at the South Florida National Cemetery, Palm Beach, Florida with her late husband Seamen First Class Ernest Louis Brow on January 14th, 2026.  Barbara was preceded by her brothers Paul and Michael Carroll. Barbara leaves her sister Joan Marie Donavon and son Gary Brow.
