Bernard H Slater, 74, Sebastian, FL., passed away November 6, 2012 at his residence.
Mr. Slater was born on July 19, 1938 in East Providence, RI., and moved to Sebastian, FL., over 20 years ago.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the VFW Post 10210 of Sebastian, FL.
Mr. Slater was a welder for the citrus service industry before retirement.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years; Sally Slater, Sebastian, FL., son; David Slater, Western, FL., daughter; Debra Slater, East Greenwich, RI., step-daughter; Heidi Heintz, Nevada, Iowa., 9 grandchildren.
He is predeceased by son; Dean Slater, mother; Irene Slater, step-daughter; Angela Tucker.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 12, 2012 at 11:00 am at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, Sebastian, FL.
