Betty McLean Gillman passed away on April 2, 2023 at the VNA hospice House in Vero Beach, Florida.

She was born on February 23, 1931 in Paducah, Kentucky, the daughter of Bertram and Lula May McLean.

She worked at Jess Parrish Memorial Hospital in Titusville, Florida, where she lived for thirty-five years before moving to Sebastian, Florida.

Betty was a member of the Crystal Cathedral Church in Garden Gove, California. She was also a member of the United States Navy Memorial and the USS Nitro Association and an honorary member of the USS Pyro Association.

Survivors include her sister-in-law, Peggy McLean; one nephew and two nieces; two great-nieces and six great-nephews; and one great-great-nephew and one great-great-niece. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond P. Gillman; her son, Charles Michael Tackett; her stepson, Raymond P. Gillman Jr.; her parents; and her infant brother, Jerry Dean McLean.  She was also predeceased by a dear aunt, Irene Moore, who was a large part of her upbringing.

There will be no service.  Her ashes will be scattered at sea by a Navy vessel.
