December 28, 1961 – January 17, 2024
Brian O'Shea, 62, of Viera, passed away on January 17, 2024, with his family by his side. Born in Huntington, New York, he was son to the late James Joseph and Hildegarde-Amelia. Moving to Florida as a teenager, Brian would attend Palm Bay High School, before enlisting in the United States Air Force.
During his military tenure, Brian earned his Associate Degree, was a seasoned Crew Chief for a C-5 Galaxy, worked on Space Shuttles, and traveled the world.
Following his military service, Brian helped construct residential and commercial properties across the entire eastern coast of Florida.
Brian would then marry his childhood friend Jeanmarie, and they would go on to share 2 sons and 33 years of marriage together.
Brian was carefree, adventurous, quick-witted, and hard to kill. He had an undying devotion to his family and friends, and enjoyed cooking, boating, bowling, racing, traveling, golfing, shooting pool, playing his guitar, and riding his motorcycle.
Burny Ratchet had a passion for working on projects of every kind, and there wasn't anything he couldn't build or fix.
Brian is survived by his wife Jeanmarie, children Timothy and Keith, brother James "Jimbo", and grandson Landon. In addition to his immediate family, Brian is survived by his brother Charles and countless friends, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, January 24, 2024 at Seawinds Funeral Home, 735 S Fleming St., Sebastian, FL 32958 with a Prayer Service at 6:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, January 25, 2024 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 13075 US Highway 1, Sebastian, FL 32958.
