Obituary

God, in His infinite wisdom decided to call to his eternal peace Calvin Deshawn Peart on Friday, May 9, 2025.

Calvin, the son of Kayece Jewel Baker and Terone Peart, was born on March 6, 2007, in Plantation, Florida. From the start, Calvin captured the hearts of all with his carefree wit and laughter that would fill any room. His devotion to his family was unmatched. His love for those around him was evident by his willingness to always lend a helping hand. Calvin accepted Christ as his Savior and was baptized on May 5, 2024. He was often the one to lead the family in prayer.

Calvin was blessed with the gift of music and began to pursue this passion and develop his talents in middle school. He played both the piano and the saxophone.  It was a proud day when Calvin started attending Sebastian River High School and became a part of the Marching Sharks band program, participating in both the marching and symphonic band. His commitment to the program helped his section earn esteem recognition. This year, he received the 2025 Most Outstanding Woodwind Award. Music flowed through Calvin's veins, even his voice was an instrument. Very few knew that not only did Calvin play music and sing, but he also wrote songs and produced beats.

Calvin was a proud 2025 graduate of Sebastian River High School and was accepted to Bethune Cookman University with plans to major in Accounting and Entrepreneurship in the fall. He knew the importance of an education because it was instilled in him by his family, especially his grandmother who was a former educator. Calvin was a student first, but also worked for his mother at Jewelstone Realty. Although Calvin worked with his mother, he was gaining his own work experience choosing employment at Chick-fil-A and Cut Co. Truly, Calvin was a comical, respectful young man, and he will be sadly missed by those who knew him.

His paternal grandmother, Carla Beckford Foster, paternal grandfathers Abraham Baker and Collington Peart, maternal great-grandmothers, Mary Louise Khrucell and Mattie Fulton and a maternal great-grandfather, James Fulton preceded him in death.

Surviving to cherish his memories is his loving and devoted mother, Kayece Jewel Baker; his father, Terone (Kereece) Peart;  two brothers: Tyreece and Kyshaun; his maternal grandmother, Mariolyn F. Baker; three aunts: Donté (Darryle) Collins, Shaunna Baker and Alana Carnage Gibson; six great-aunts: Debbie Fulton, Coretta Fulton, Darlene (Will) Fulton Smith, Beverly Fulton, Genise Bradley, and Kimberly Bradley; two uncles: Rowel Peart and Rayan Peart; five great-uncles: Willie Fulton, Jackson Fulton, Marvin Fulton, Andre (Gia) Smith and James (Lisa) Bradley; his favorite cousin, Brielle Collins, along with a host of family and dear friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 16, 2025 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and again from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Seawinds Funeral Home, 735 South Fleming Street, Sebastian, Florida 32958. A Celebration of Calvin's Life will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Sebastian River High School's PAC, 9001 Shark Boulevard, Sebastian Florida 32958. Interment will be private.
