He was born in Lynch, Kentucky on November 10, 1930.

Carl graduated from Cumberland High School and upon graduation he entered the United States Army.  While proudly serving in the Military,  he was awarded two bronze stars and served in Korea.

After serving our country he moved to Michigan and went to school to become a master Electrician.

Carl was employed by General Motors in the Fisher Body Division for 34 years.  He was a Supervisor of plant engineering when he retired from General Motors in 1987.

Carl married the love of his life, Patricia Kugler in 1981.

Carl and Patricia were eager to get out of the cold weather so after they retired they quickly moved to Sebastian, Florida.

They enjoyed the beach, fishing, golfing, and traveling. They were surrounded by wonderful friends.

Carl was an avid golfer and enjoyed designing and assembling custom golf clubs.  He also enjoyed surf fishing with family and friends as well as creating stained glass windows and lamps.  He was a man who could fix anything and was a handyman to many.

Carl is survived by his loving wife Patti; his daughter Kathy (Ray) Gazzola, step-daughter Jennifer (David) Schoon, step-son Daniel (Barbara) Kugler, and daughter Robin Hartley; all of Michigan. He is preceded in death by his sons Donald and Timothy and his daughter Janice. Carl had 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Carl was a kind, loving old fashioned gentleman that was loved by many.  He may have passed on, but his wonderful memory will live forever in our hearts.

Services will be held August 5th, 2022 at  2:00 pm  at Seawinds Funeral Home, 735 S. Fleming Street in Sebastian , Florida.
