Carl W. Greeley, 90, of Barefoot Bay, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at his residence.
He was born in Concord, NH and resided there until 1985 when he moved to Florida.
He graduated from Concord High School in 1937. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Through the years he was owner and operator of Heights Shell Gas Station. Heights Furniture, Carldons Childrens Store and Ye Olde General Store. He was also employed by the State of NH for 25 years.
Carl was a 60-year member of Blazing Star Eureka Masonic Lodge #11, Concord, NH. Scottish Rite Valley of Concord, Scottish Rite Valle of Nashua, and a 50-year member of Bektash Shriners. He was a charter member of American Legion Post 366 of Barefoot Bay, a member of the Moose Lodge of Sebastian, and a member of the New England Club of Barefoot Bay.
Carl was an avid researcher and historian of Middle East affairs in his retirement years.
Survivors include his wife Beverly of 53 years; daughters Nancy Barratt of Durham, NH and Susan Hagenah of Lexington, MA; step-son Royce Benedict of New Hampton, NH; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Services: Following cremation, burial will be at Blossom Hill Cemetery, Concord, NH. There will be no visitation and no local services.
