Carlos A. Pereira, 81 of Sebastian, FL, passed away Saturday, January 3. Born and raised in Newark, NJ. Carl served in the US ARMY from 1966 until 1967 and was stationed in Vietnam. Upon his return home, Carl joined the Ironbound Volunteer Ambulance Corps, where he served for over 25 years. During that time, Carl worked as maintenance personnel at Cummins Diesel, Hyatt Clark Industries, and the Newark Federal Building, where he retired. Carl was a proud member of VVA Chapter 779 before moving to Florida in 2019.

Carl is survived by his wife, Audrey Pereira, a sister, Marie Cursi, and son William Weist.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 9:30 am until 10:30 am at Seawinds Funeral Home in Sebastian, 725 South Fleming Street, FL. A Prayer Service will follow at 10:30 AM. Interment and Military Honors will be at 1:30 PM at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, Florida.
