Carol Ann (Young) Gretzinger, age 61, passed away peacefully at home in Micco, Florida with the love of her life Paul and her big brother Jim by her side. She fought a courageous and long battle against rheumatoid arthritis, never letting it stand in her way of being a good wife, mother, sister and friend. She graduated from Timken High School in 1972 as a commercial artist, and began her career decorating windows and displays at Stern and Mann's. She later worked for the Perry School System at Edison Jr. High in the lunch room. She was a member of Church of the Savior United Methodist Church for many years before her move to Florida.
She was joyously reunited in heaven with her parents, Arthur and Mary Young, brother Bill Young, and in-laws Jim and Mary Gretzinger. Cherishing her memory are her husband Paul, son Terry (Melissa) Means and daughter Jamie (Mike) Cassidy - all of Boston, MA, brother Jim (Brenda) Young of East Canton, sister Patty (Vernon) Yoder of Louisville, sister-in-laws Becky (Bud) Ostendorf of Myrtle Beach and Judy (Keith) Lasure of Louisville, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews that adored their Aunt Carol.
A memorial service in Canton is planned for later in the year. If anyone would like to make a memorial donation in lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Arthritis Foundation (www.arthritis.org).
