Carolyn worked in the banking industry for 48 years: 17 years at Wachovia in North Carolina, 25 years for Harbor Federal in Florida and 6 years at PNC Bank prior to retiring.

Carolyn was a giver and dedicated her life to helping others.  She organized and participated in many fundraisers for several worthy causes. She served as president of the Exchanged Club of Vero Beach, and the Pilot Club International of Vero Beach.  Most recently she was an active part of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 189.  In fact, on Friday evenings you would find her cooking in the kitchen for hundreds of people which she did for a period of 5 years.

Carolyn loved Love.  She used her exquisite talents creating beautiful cakes and delicious food to make special events that much more special. Once again giving generously of herself.

Carolyn was passionate about life and would try just about anything.  She was inclusive to everyone instilling in them how much fun they could have by participating alongside her! She was kind and humble and lived life to the fullest.  She enjoyed boating, water skiing, and camping. She took a special interest in visiting antique stores.

More than anything, Carolyn loved her family and her friends, always expressing in abundance, her love for those around her. The hearts of many are broken and she will be greatly missed. Those who will feel the loss severely but will keep her in their heart's forever are her husband of 57 years Jerry, her daughter & son in-law Teresa and Robert Anderson, her grandson Caleb Anderson and her brothers Jerry and Walter Lomax.

The family appreciates the many kind remembrances they have received and asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Christ the King Lutheran Church building fund.

The memorial service for Carolyn will be held on Saturday December 7 ^th at 11:00 am at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1301 Sebastian Blvd, Sebastian Fl 32958.  We hope you will join us in celebrating her beautiful life.
