Carter Thornsbury of Sebastian, FL. passed away December 21, 2018.   He was born October 3, 1956 in Iaeger, West Virginia and is the son of the late, Carmen and Delford Thornsbury. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Sherry Danforth Thornsbury who resides at their home in Sebastian.

Carter is preceded in death by his brother Calvis Thornsbury.  Survivors include his son, Michael Hill of Texas, and three grandchildren, Layla, Leah and Liam.   Also his 3 sisters, Mrs. Andy (Sis) Mitchell, Mrs. Charles (Missy) Clark and Mary Ruth Thornsbury all of NC.

Carter worked for  many years at American Fasteners/Anco/Viking Fasteners, and Leitz Tooling in NC. After moving to Fl. he worked many years at Structural Composites in W. Melbourne, Fl.

Carter will always be remembered as a very friendly, kind, loving person, always ready to help  and a very good friend to all who knew him.   He loved children and animals so much and was very much loved by them.   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Halo Rescue Shelter, ( halorescuefl.org )  710 Jackson St., Sebastian, FL. 32958  or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital,  ( stjude.org ) P.O. There will be a Celebration of Life Open House from the hours of 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, January 12th at our home in Sebastian.
