Catalina Rojas Diaz, 78, of Vero Beach, Florida went to her Lord and Savior on June 20, 2022 with family by her side. She was the widow of Alfredo Carrillo Valdivia. they shared twenty-four wonderful years of marriage.
Born in Puebla, Mexico she was the daughter of the late Felipe and Sofia Rojas. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church attending mass every Sunday. Catalina Also enjoyed morning walks, gardening, cooking, and spending quality time with her family. She will be remembered for her kindness, selflessness, and determination. Her determination and dedication helped raise a tight knit family, when she became a young widow with eight children. She is a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, attending many concerts, graduations, and birthdays; such was her devotion to her family that she was known as "Mama Cata" to all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She never hesitated to offer a lending hand to anyone in need.
Catalina is survived by her children Mauro (Irene) Carrillo, Gloria (Benito) Rosas, Patricia (Macario) Portugal, Reyna (Justino) Aguilar, Leticia Alvirde, Jesus (Gloria) Carrillo, Adriana (Scott) Sergel, and Daniel Carrillo. She is also survived by twenty-four grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. she is predeceased by her husband Alfredo Carrillo Valdivia and her daughter Maria Teresita Carrillo.
A viewing will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2022 from 5pm-9pm at Seawinds Funeral Home. A mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 11am on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 with burial immediately following at Sebastian Municipal Cemetery.
