Cheryl A McDermott, 58, of Sebastian, FL passed away suddenly on the evening
of April 5th, 2015 at Indian River Medical Center.

She was born on July 6th, 1956 in Odgensburg, NY to Elsie Jessmer and the late Donald Jessmer, Sr.

Her family moved to Danbury, CT in 1960 and she graduated from Danbury High School in 1972. She was married to her husband Raymond in 1974 and they had three children together. They lived in Danbury until relocating to Sebastian, FL in 2001.

Cheryl was employed at Walmart for the past 13 years working in many departments. She loved the beach, doing crafts, shopping, and her purses and shoes. Her and her husband enjoyed going on Cruises and of course she loved her family.

Cheryl is survived by her loving husband of 40 years Raymond McDermott of Sebastian, FL; three children John McDermott of Lake Worth, FL, Rason McDermott of Danbury, CT, and Deanna McDermott of Sebastian, FL; her mother Elsie Macchio, of Sebastian, FL; sister Mary Jessmer and her husband James Gallagi, of FL; brother Donald (Nancy) Jessmer Jr., of Athens, GA., and her two Furbabies Sugar, and Scrappy. She also has several nieces and nephews.

A Gathering will be held at 11:00am at Seawinds Funeral Home, Sebastian, FL on Saturday, April 11, 2015 with a Service to follow.
