Clyde "David" Pierson, 93 of Sebastian, FL passed away on January 13, 2025. Clyde was born December 15, 1931, in Shelbyville, IN to Clyde and Dorothy Pierson. Raised in Shelbyville, he worked on the family farm with his father. After he graduated from high school, he enlisted in the US Air Force and survived the Korean War. After he was discharged and returned home, the cold weather was too much for him and he moved his family to Ft. Lauderdale, FL. His interest in law enforcement led him to become police officer for the town of Wilton Manors, FL. After 23 years, he retired at the rank of Police Detective.
Fishing was his main desire in life, which brought them to Sebastian, FL where he made many friends fishing on the Sebastian Inlet and crowned "The Snook King"
Dave is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years, Christine; sons, Mark and Matthew Pierson; granddaughters, Lane and Jill; 2 great grandchildren, Allison and Addie; step-brother James (Marilyn) Lambert; He was preceded in death by his former wife and mother of his children.
A celebration of Dave's life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 24, 2025 at The First Presbyterian Church of Sebastian.
