Obituary

Dale Everett Carter, 78, of Fellsmere, died Thursday, June 26th with his wife by his side.

He was born to the late Lee and Mary Carter on August 16th, 1946 in Providence, Rhode Island.  They moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. before Dale turned 1 year old.  He graduated from Ft. Lauderdale High School in 1968, and joined the Navy right after High School.

After serving in the Navy, Dale worked for Bell South, now AT&T, and retired from there in 1991.  He subsequently owned his own company, Affordable Land Clearing Services in Fellsmere, Florida.

Dale was an active member in Church of God, and also actively participated in his community.  He was elected to Fellsmere City Council and served from 1995-1997.

Dale and wife Dianne , owned a sailboat, named "Petra" for 5 years, and sailed many times to the Bahamas and South Florida.

Dale is survived by one son, Bryan Dale and three stepsons, Matt, John, and Mark Delashaw.  Together, he and Dianne had 10 grand children and 15 great-grandchildren.

Dale is sorely missed by all that knew him.
