Dave Haviland, 82 of Sebastian, FL; formerly of Barrington, IL passed peacefully Nov 2, 2016.

Dave was born July 14, 1934 in Chicago, IL, son of Lyman & Dagnye Haviland. He received BS in Science & Education from Lake Forest College. Dave married Nancy Nedra Harris (deceased) from Lake Forrest, IL March 1957. They had 3 children, Andra, Kari, and Lynne. He married Connie Jean (Carpenter) Doane in December 2000.

He served in the U.S. Army as a PFC in the medical lab from 1961 - 63. He was a beloved science teacher at Barrington Middle School from 1967 - 87. He received a Masters in Education in '87. He was an after school intramural instructor, often inventing games for the students.

Dave was an avid fly-casting fisherman and instructor and was involved in many conservation programs. He loved music & traveling, particularly to northern Minnesota & Canada.

He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Connie Jean Haviland; daughters Andra of Pearland, TX; Kari of Massillon, OH; Lynne of Chicago, IL; grandchildren Adrian Styer of Akron, OH; Akacyea Styer Deck of Henderson, TN; great granddaughter Zoe Styer of Akron, OH.
