David is a resident of Sebastian FL where he passed away peacefully.  He was born in Harrisburg, PA.  He is the son of Dorothy and Carroll Lawson.  David attended John Harris High School and later graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor's Degree.   David is survived by his loving wife Elfreda Lawson three daughters and one son Messiah, Nelia [deceased], Danielle, and Patrick; five sisters and one brother - Diane, Virginia, Nancy, Marilyn, Louise and Thomas; two brothers-in-law - Beauford and Waitus and many nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by five stepchildren Coral (Damion), Karen, Merlyn (Alfred), Diana (Richard), and Candice, and step grandchildren Samuel, Lauren, Kala, Dimitri, Patrick, Jeremy, and Jasmine.  Jasmine was the apple of his eye.

David loved being with his family.  He travelled often to various countries but loved Jamaica the most.  He sometimes spoke with a Jamaican accent.  He touched the lives of many people with his jokes, kindness and generosity.

A Viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 am, Monday, October 8, 2018 at Seawinds Funeral Home, 735 S. Fleming St, Sebastian, FL with a Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 am in the chapel.  Burial will follow at Sebastian Cemetery, 1921 N. Central Ave, Sebastian, FL.
