David Howard Schwarz, 92, of Sebastian, Fl., born in Rochester, Pa, to Harry and Irene Schwarz, passed away on April 22, 2017.
He grew up in Aliquippa, Pa, on the family's acreage, served WWII in the Pacific theatre. He trained for Navy Landing Craft duty in Ft. Pierce, Fl., which precipitated his return years later to Florida in the then "small town" West Palm Beach to raise his family. After success in contracting and R.E. development, he and is wife, Helena, sought to regain "small town" environs and purchased a 1910 hunting lodge and acreage in Sebastian, Florida, where they lived overlooking the Indian River for over 40 years enjoying unspoiled nature and creation of adventures for his grandchildren.
Dad was pre-deceased by his wife of 69 years and daughter Wilma Jean, survived by sons David, Tim, and Tom Schwarz, Daughters-in-law Pam, Lisa and Patricia Schwarz, grandchildren David and Stacey Schwarz, Brian Schwarz, Amy Kearney, Erica Moody and great grandchildren Brendan, Ethan and Danielle Schwarz.
A viewing for David will be held Thursday, April 27, 2017, 10:00am, at Seawinds Funeral Home, 735 S. Fleming Street, Sebastian, FL, 32958, with a Funeral Service to follow at 11:00am. Burial will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 6411 Parker Ave, West Palm Beach, FL 33405, at 2:30pm.
