BAGGAN, DELORES RUTH 1927-2012

Delores Ruth Lang Baggan peacefully and gracefully returned to the Lord's arms on Saturday, April 28, 2012, while surrounded by her loving family at her home in Snug Harbor Lakes. She was preceded in death by her husband William "Bill" Baggan in 1997.

This vibrant soul was born in Sheepshead Bay, NY, on May 19, 1927, to Nina and Walter Lang, both of Finland. Delores attended the University of Miami and Kent State. She lived on Long Island, NY, with her husband, her Hero, Bill, where they raised three daughters and traveled extensively to all corners of the globe. Bill was an oil company executive who maintained a busy travel and social schedule for them to enjoy together.

They transferred with Bill's employer in 1974 to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where two of their daughters eventually also relocated. They enjoyed many years of social and family activities and continued their extensive travels during the years they called Tulsa "home". After her beloved husband passed in 1997, Delores became a Florida "Snowbird", and then a permanent resident of Micco in 2002.

Delores was a lifelong Patron of the Arts. Creative, artistic, imaginative, full of life and ever-thirsty for knowledge, that was Delores. She was active in many Snug Harbor activities including the Red Hats, the Memoir Writers Group, a local Artists Group, and various other social organizations.

Delores is survived by her three loving daughters and their families:

Sharon and Daniel Horan of Navarre, FL; their son Terence and his wife Cynthia, and their daughters Brittany and Meagan; their daughter Jennifer and her husband Brian and their triplets Caroline, Michael, and Daniel.

Chris and Stefan Kostialik of Greenlawn, NY, and their daughter Nina;

Dana and Bob Golliver of Franklin, TN, and their sons Brett and Evan.

A service celebrating the life of Delores Baggan will be held on Monday, May 21, at 10:30 am at Concordia Lutheran Church, Barefoot Bay Boulevard, Micco. Interment will be at the Long Island National Cemetery at a later date.
