Born Dennis Alfred McKinney on June 21st, 1930, and grew up in Dearborn Michigan.
Dennis was a Korean War Veteran. On June 17th 1953 he married Beatrice Steele of Detroit Michigan. He was a graduate of University of Michigan an an Electrical Engineer. His career was varied, including working for LTV on the Mercury Missile Project and in computer sales. Preceeded in death by sisters MaryAnn Albert and Kathleen Marek, he is survived by his wife of 60 years Beatrice, his children Sharon McKinney, Herman and Dennis McKinney Jr., 5 grandchildren: Kerilyn Herman Ngom, Pamela Herman Scott, Thomas Herman, Nicole Alvear, Dennis P. McKinney and 6 great grandchildren: Alexis Scott, Leighton Scott, Reese Scott, William Herman, Samuel Herman, and Ava Ngom Rhea. His Memorial Service will be at the Roseland United Methodist Church at 2:00 pm on Saturday January 4th, 2014. A reception will follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Food Pantry at Roseland United Methodist Church, 12962 Roseland Rd, Roseland FL 32957.
