To know my Dad was to love him and be loved by him. He was the best husband, father, papa, brother, uncle, and friend that you could ask for. He was always supportive and there if you ever needed him.

He took his last breath on May 24th peacefully in his bed. He fought for many years and was so strong. He is now in a better place and no longer in pain. He'll be watching all the Yankee games, finally be able to bowl again, and play as much video poker as he wants with his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mary Shukri; children Dennis Shukri and Michelle Shukri, grandchild Scarlette Shukri, daughter-in-law Elizabeth Shukri, brother Douglas Shukri, sister-in-law Mariann Shukri, uncle Craig Shukri and Jessica Shukri. Plus, many other family members and many friends.

We will be celebrating his life on Saturday, June 1st at Den and Liz's in Sebastian. It will be an open house, starting at 1pm where we invite everyone to come and show their love for him.
