Obituary

On the afternoon of March 17, 2016, Dianne C (Fournier) Isham passed away peacefully at her home in Vero Beach, Florida with her daughter's Kristine Fleming and Karlotta Isham as well as her Aunt Muriel Meere by her side.

Dianne (Fournier) Isham was born in the city of St. Albans, VT on April 18, 1943. She was the first daughter of Marion (Ebare) Gratton and David Fournier.

Dianne graduated from Bellows Free Academy, St Albans, VT in 1961. After graduating, she spent time in Boston enjoying the city with her sisters and aunts partying like a rock star before settling back in Vermont to raise her four children. Dianne worked at IBM in Essex Jct. Vermont for many years while also providing care for her mother Marion Gratton. Dianne retired from IBM in (1995) and moved to Vero Beach, Florida in 2010.

She was very passionate about birds, animals, gardening reading and natural foods. She was a great admirer of "Mother Earth". She created the most delicious foods in a way that they should have been patented according to everyone who ate them.

She was also avidly into genealogy for many years and had amazingly traced her family heritage way back to the 1600's.

She has the most infectious laugh that started from her toes all the way to her head. If you are a woman (regardless if you ever gave birth) you would have had to cross your legs or wear depends once the laughter started with her. She was very witty, smart and a wonderfully kind person.

She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She always had the best advice whether for the toughest of life challenges or for something as simple as a new fantastic recipe for dinner.

She is survived by her children Sean Isham, his wife Lori and their children; Karissa, Devon, Quinton, Zachary and Madison. Her daughter Kristine Fleming, her husband Sean and their children; Connor, Sean and Payton. Her daughter Karlotta Isham, her husband Richard Grunert and her children; Kayleena, Brittany, and Maygan. Her daughter Kimberly Isham and her children; Corey, Ashley, Jaime and Robbie. Many loving sisters, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and a brother.

She was preceded in death by her father David Fournier, mother Marion Gratton and brother Peter Fournier.

A private family graveside service will be held at the St. Luke Catholic Cemetery, Fairfax, VT in June 2016.
You will forever be in our hearts and we know that the butterflies will continue to visit.

Butterfly, Butterfly; so awesome and free, spread your wings and fly to me, ever so graceful and full of love, you shine like the sun above. Butterfly, Butterfly; so awesome and free, I wish for the true love you'd bring me to see, so full of color and cheer when I see you. I feel you so near to me. Butterfly, Butterfly; you lighten my day, and hope in my life you will forever stay.
