Dolores M Monroe, 93 years old of Sebastian Fl, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, October 19, 2016 at the Hospice House in Vero Beach, FL. Dolores was born on April 29, 1923 in Dunkirk, NY. She lived in The Dunkirk/Westfield, NY most of her life moving to Sebastian, FL to live with her daughter and grandson 18 years ago.
Dolores is survived by her daughter Holly Monroe Basher of Sebastian, FL; 6 grandchildren, Travis J. Basher, Michael J. Monroe, Melissa Monroe, Casey Monroe, Jennifer Monroe and Jerry Johnson; 5 great-grandchildren; and her sister Mrs. Maxine Kern. She was predeceased by her husband Simon F. Monroe Jr. who passed away January 1990; her son, Michael A. Monroe who passed February 2015; her brother Don Grupa; and her sisters, Phyllis Grimm and Mrs. Marlene Peterella.
Services will be held in Westfield, NY at a future date.
