Donald “Don” James Holden, 74, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully at his home on July 27, 2026.

For many years, Don served as a dedicated Manager at CVS. He truly loved his work and was known for his generous heart—treating all of his employees like family and bringing warmth and guidance to everyone he worked with.

A passionate, lifelong New Yorker at heart, Don was a fan of the New York Mets and the New York Islanders. He thoroughly enjoyed watching hockey and never lost his love for his hometown teams.

After relocating to Vero Beach, Florida, Don and Janice embraced the relaxed coastal lifestyle while keeping their New York roots close.

Above all else, Don cherished his family—and was a proud, devoted cat dad. He will be terribly missed for his dry sense of humor, his unreal attitude toward life, and his incredibly generous spirit.

He was preceded in death by his cherished parents, Donald and Elizabeth Holden, as well as his beloved siblings: Michael, Kevin, Richard, Edythe McCaffrey, and James.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Thursday, August 6th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Seawinds Funeral Home located at 735 S. Fleming St, Sebastian, FL 32958.
