Obituary

Earl P. Adams, 93, of Sebastian, passed away Monday, February 12, 2018.
He was born in Framingham, Ma to William and Minnie Adams, the youngest of three children.
After high school he worked at the First National Store as a clerk. He joined the U. S. Navy in 1943 and was honorably discharged in 1946. He was a signalman 3rd class. While serving in the Pacific, he was able to reunite with his older brother in Manus. Bill also served in the Navy. After Earl's discharge from the Navy, he studied at the Wentworth Institute in Boston, Ma., for two years learning machine construction and tool design. He worked at Eastern Airlines in Miami Springs as a sheet metal worker until his retirement in 1987.

Earl loved fishing and hosting fish fries for friends and family; doing latch hook rug kits and making frames for them. He liked making and repairing things. He enjoyed bowling, having met his wife, Carol, at Palm Springs Lanes in Hialeah. He loved music, particularly the Big Bands. In his later years, he enjoyed building Lego's and doing jigsaw puzzles on the iPad.  Earl was predeceased by his parents; sister and brother-in-law, Ginny and Pi Lalor; and his son, Dana. He is survived by his wife of 45years, Carol; his daughter, Helen (Jim) Sconyers; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; two nieces and two nephew and many great-nieces and great-nephews; and many friends.  A celebration of life will be held at a later time. Memorial donations can be made to the American Legion Post 189, 807 Louisiana Ave., Sebastian, Fl 32958 (veterans' programs); VNA Hospice of Indian River, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, Fl 32960 ; or a charity of your choosing.
