Edward J. Calligan, aka "Fast Eddie", born in the Bronx, NY passed away March 1st , 2022 at the age of 77 (50 years beyond what doctors expected after a life threatening car accident left him in a coma for 3 months.) A proud Marine who served in Vietnam and retired NYPD officer, he is survived by his daughters Suzanne Calligan-Courtien and Katie Calligan, his grandchildren Mackenzie, Xavier, Penelope, and Delaney, and his sister Maureen. He was beloved and well looked out for in his Barefoot Bay community, his adopted home, where he was a frequent patron at the 19th Hole or playing his lotto numbers. He could be found on many nights at Bottoms Up where he loved winning money at the pool table. He was fiercely independent and he lived and died by his own rules. In lieu of a memorial, please shoot a round of pool, listen to a Dylan song, and / or make a donation to one of his favorite charities in honor of Veterans or St Jude's Hospital.
