Ernest E. Artruc also known as Ernie to his family and friends of barefoot Bay, Florida passed away peacefully on March 12, 2015. He was born September 12, 1926 in North Rutland, MA. Ernest was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years Mogene (Bennett) Artruc.
He served in the US Army during the Korean War from 1950 to 1952 receiving a Bronze Service Star. Ernie was a member of the VFW Post 10210 of Sebastian and the Moose Lodge Chapter 1764.
Ernie worked at Moore Drop Forge as a Tool and Die Machinist, in Springfield MA, for over 40 years before retiring to Vero Beach, FL in 1989. He always enjoyed camping, bowling, horseshoe and the Red Sox. He also enjoyed fixing things, which he was really good at, but later on in years he used a lot of duct tape.
Ernie is survived by two sisters, Rita Zuraw and Evelyn Martin of CT/FL, and one brother Edward Artruc of Ma/FL. He leaves two sons Dana Artruc and his wife Linda of MA, Dean Artruc and his wife Kimberley of CT. and four daughters, Diane Surprise and her husband Mickael, Denise Pepin and her husband Maurice of MA, Dawn Legue and her husband William II of FL and Doreen Nai and her husband Damon of CT. He was blessed with fifteen Grandchildren and nine Great Grand children. He was predeceased by three brothers Albert, Francis, and Eugene.

The family of Ernie would like to invite everyone to a picnic in memory of our father at river view park in Sebastian at 2:00PM on Wednesday the 18th of march. Bring your fondest memories along with a dish to share with family and friends.
