Erwin A. Selleck of Heuvelton, passed away on December 22, 2018 in Sebastian, FL at the age of 79.
He was predeceased by his father Arthur, mother Viola Lincoln and brother Robert. He is survived by wife Rebecca, daughter Sonya, son Clay, grandson Aaron, three step-children Clifton Jr., Christina and Cavin Cook, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. A marriage to Carolyn Rottman ended in divorce.
Erwin was born in Watertown, NY and graduated from Potsdam High School. He then attended Clarkson University where he earned a Bachelor's and Master's of Science in the field of Physics. He first taught physics at Peru State College in Nebraska and then taught at SUNY Canton for over 40 years. He was a founding member of the Grasse River Players theatre group and still participated in murder mysteries.
After retirement he volunteered at the St. Lawrence Historical Association. He and his wife had an antiques business.
A springtime burial and memorial service will be held at Adath Israel Cemetery in Massena, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Lawrence County Historical Association, 3 East Main St, Canton, NY 13617-0008.
