Gene Carson 10/30/1929 - 6/23/2015
Gene Carson was born in Orlando, Florida and loved being a Native Floridian. With family dating back to the 1800's in Florida, there was never any doubt in his mind that he would pass away one day in his beloved state.
After a 20 year career overseas in the US Army ASA Super Group, and working with the NSA in Washington DC, Gene returned to Orlando and started his own trucking company. G & B Delivery was a very successful business for 25 years before he sold the company and retired. In his lifetime Gene battled rheumatic fever, tuberculosis, cancer, and acute glomerulonephritis. His Doctors all described him as being "strong as a horse". What should have killed him, only served to make him stronger. His one weakness was his undying love and adoration for his wife Marilyn Carson. They were married 56 years when she died suddenly on May 18th, 2014. Gene survived another year without his love, but finally has returned to her and to his well deserved happiness. We will miss him every day, but always remember that he is with the woman he could never live without. We will be with them both one day again. Until then, we have our memories which will carry us through the hard times.
Gene is survived by his Daughter Maria Goss, Son-in-law Warren Goss, Daughter Betsy Owens, Grandchildren Carla Carson, Carrie Carson, Kristina Carson and Joseph Carson.
