It is with great sadness the family of Eugene Joseph Dernbach of Fellsmere, formerly of Secaucus NJ announces his passing after a brief illness.  On January 30, 2019 at the age of 82, Eugene joined hands once more with his loving wife Rosemarie.

Eugene is survived by his four children, Dennis and wife Charlene Dernbach, Lorraine and her husband Al Signorelli, Stephen and his wife Donna Dernbach and Jeanmarie and her husband Brian O'Shea, ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.  He was a devoted member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church and a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Sebastian Council #8009, St Williams Assembly #2194 and St. John of the Cross Council #13153, St. John of the Cross Assembly #3297.  Eugene held several offices within both councils.

He served his community as Captain of Chicora Park Engine Company #3.  Also as Scoutmaster of Troop 47 for the Boy Scouts of America while living in Secaucus, New Jersey.

Eugene proudly served in the United States Navy and was a member of both the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Family and friends may visit from 1:00-4:00 pm, Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Seawinds Funeral Home, 735 S Fleming St., Sebastian FL.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, February 4, 2019 at 11:00 am at St Sebastian Catholic Church, 13075 U.S. Hwy 1, Sebastian.
