Eugene "Gene" Scholz, 77, of Vero Beach, Florida passed away September 12th, 2016 at Sebastian River Medical Center.

Gene was born in Hamilton, Ohio and moved to Florida 25 years ago. Gene proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Toledo and the USS Larson.

Gene enjoyed fishing and time with his dog Tiger.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years Cindy Scholz; step-sons, Justin (Dulce) and Robert Pena; step-grandchildren, Kadin and Kiani of Texas; daughter Crystal (Bruce) Miller and grandsons Tekoa and Josiah of Tennessee.
