Evelyn Patricia Smith, 97, of Sebastian, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. She was born on April 17, 1928, in New Jersey to Leo and Isobel McKenna. She married Paul H. Smith in 1950, becoming a proud Navy wife. After Paul's retirement from the Navy, they moved from Norfolk, VA, to Florida, which excited her greatly. She loved living near Cape Canaveral, where the space program was in its infancy.

She is survived by her children, Sharon Moss, of Marion, IA; Deborah Thompson, of Colonial Beach, VA; David Smith, of Sebastian, FL; Mark Smith and wife, Donna, of Cocoa, FL; Timothy Smith; and Joanna Brown, husband Dale, both of Sebastian; ten grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul, son, Paul MacCionnaith, and granddaughter, Rachael Payton.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am March 13 at St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church Sebastian, Florida.
