Fabiola (Fay) Bolduc Dann, 98 years old, went home to Heaven on January 13, 2023.
Let me tell you about my mom.
Fabiola Bolduc Dann was the loving daughter of the late Edward and Maria (Brousseau) Guertin. Fay was married to Jerry Bolduc from 1944 until his death in 1985. They shared two daughters, Susan Improta (1946-2021) and Claire DiFazio. She considered her dear niece Elaine Newman as her other daughter. Elaine loved buying her beautiful Christmas gifts.
Fay's son-in-laws late Guido & Albert were like sons to Fay. She had a special place in her heart for her Godson nephew Harry Bosma.
Mom was very close to all her grandchildren; they called her "Memere Dann". Her grandchildren are: Guy (Deb), Dina (Frank), Christopher (Lisa), AJ (Diana), and Alisha Fay (Joshua); her great-grandchildren: Brianna (Douglas), Julia, Fay, Frank, Marissa, Ryan, Jaden, Jesse, and Adrianna Claire; and her great-great grandbaby Cameron. Fay had five siblings who pre-deceased her: Bill, Beatrice, Doris, Al, and Irene.
She loved and had so much fun with her Bolduc family especially at the beach. Fay enjoyed Sundays with her sister-in-law and sidekick Doris. They held each others arm while shopping and laughed all afternoon.
Fay wondered why she was still here on earth at 98 years old. She was ready for the Lord to come and get her as she would say. Mom was blessed with great health her entire life. She shared a hair salon with her precious sister Beatrice during the 1960's and 70's; it was Michele's Beauty Salon.
Mom married Harvey Dann in Florida in 1988. They shared 22 wonderful years together until his death in 2010. They loved to travel and enjoyed fishing in their boat.
Harvey's loving daughter Patricia Dann Battersby was an amazing and loving stepdaughter to Fay. Pat would drive for hours just to take mom to the airport or just a visit to check on her.
Fay had 2 loving step-granddaughters Shawna and Alice.
Mom lived independently in her Florida home until the end with her daughter Claire and Albert living just houses away. She enjoyed playing bingo and playing gin. Albert would say she might be 98 but she beats me playing cards.
My mom was known for her "ladylike ways", her beauty and generosity and sense of style. She dressed fashionably never without her makeup and jewelry daily. She also made a mean French meat pie. She is without a doubt in Jesus' arms not because of good behavior or works but because she knew Jesus as her loving Savior. Mom asked the Lord to take her home while napping in her recliner and He did with her dog Gucci by her side and a cup of tea! She is home. My heart is happy for her but I will miss my wonderful mom. A mother's love is precious.
She was loved by many nieces and nephews on both sides of the family.
Mom's life will be celebrated with a Catholic Mass in Rhode Island in April 2023 at a date to be announced.
Arrangements are through Seawinds Funeral Home in Sebastian, Florida.
