Frances Thompson, 77, passed away on January 25, 2023 at her home in Sebastian Florida. Her husband, Terry and youngest son, Brian were at her bedside with her at the time of death. She and Terry celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary the year before. She had three children, four grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Frances was born in the Bronx, New York and was the daughter of James and Margaret McGinley. She was a Sister of Mercy in Tarrytown, New York for seven years before leaving the convent and eventually marrying. She graduated from Mercy College with a bachelors degree in Sociology. She worked for the Central Intelligence Agency and later for the U.S Air Force as a civilian employee.

She was an active participant at St Luke's Catholic Church in Barefoot Bay, Florida. She was a volunteer at the thrift store of St. Luke's and enjoyed the many sunny beaches of Florida. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and was described by her grandchildren as inspirational.

There will be a funeral mass at St. Luke's, 5055 Micco Road, Barefoot Bay, Florida, 32976 on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 11 A.M to be followed by a luncheon at the church hall.
