Obituary

Francois "Louis" Hannot, 80, of Sebasitan, FL passed away on Monday, Feb 19, 2018.  Born in Brussels, Belgium, Francois came to the United States at the age of 13.  He honorably and faithfully served his country in the US Air Force.  While stationed in Sculthorpe, England, he met the love of his life, Valerie Hill.  They were married on January 11, 1958 and later moved to Panama City, FL.  After serving in the USAF, they settled in Brentwood, NY where they raised their two children, Arleen and Edward.

They loved to travel and went on many adventures all over the world.  He loved talking to people and truly enjoyed sharing his many stories. Louis had a true zest for life and made friends wherever he went.  He and his wife lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures such as get togethers with family and friends, gardening and watching old movies.   However, his biggest passion was his family; especially his two grandsons who brought him such pride and joy.

Louis was a kind and generous man who gave without expecting anything in return.  He will be deeply missed by all.  Nous t'aimons.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Valerie (nee Hill), daughter Arleen Fusilli and husband Nicholas of Manasquan, NJ, son Edward Hannot and wife Diana of Orlando, FL, Grandson Nicholas Fusilli of Neptune City, NJ, Grandson Michael Fusilli and wife Corine of Point Pleasant Beach, NJ, his dear sister Elisabeth "Lily" Hannot Michiels of Gijzenzele, Belgium and all of his adored nieces, nephews and friends.
