Charles Fredric "Fred" Bolm, 63, passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2022. He was born to the late Clarence "Pops" and Mary Bolm on July 5, 1958 in Clarksdale, MS. Fred graduated from the Colorado School of Trades gunsmithing certificate program in 1990 and received his associates degree in the drone program from Hinds Community College in 2016. He married Kathy Shurtluff November 25, 1989 in Denver where they lived before moving to Vicksburg and Edwards, MS. Most recently they moved to Vero Beach, FL.

Fred had a gunsmithing business that flourished in Vero Beach. He had great talent for gunsmithing and loved to share his knowledge with others. He was talented in other areas as well and made a living in the past playing and teaching music, installing flooring and with photography.
Fred was a natural born musician and began his introduction to playing the blues as a child when he hung around much older musicians in Clarksdale. Fred played professionally for many years and never grew tired of making music.

Fred is survived by his wife of 32 years Kathy of Vero Beach and his brother George (Becki). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, and in-laws including the Shurtluffs, the Wilkies, the Chases, the Bishops, and the Elias family.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 8th from 4:00-6:00 pm at Seawinds Funeral Home, 735 S. Fleming St., Sebastian, FL 32958. A casual gathering with refreshments will immediately follow at Bethel Creek House, 4405 Florida A1A, Vero Beach, FL 32960.

There will be a remote attendance option if you are unable to attend in person. If you wish to attend the service remotely and are not currently a FB friend with Fred, please send a friend request to Fred and you will be provided an invitation at 3:30 pm on the day of the service.
