George T. Willis Jr. of Hudson FL passed away September 14, 2019. He was born in San Diego, CA on February 9,1947 to the late George T. Willis Sr. and the late Abbie Millagan. After high school he joined the United States Air Force and served in Vietnam in 1965. After being honorably discharged in 1967, George had returned to San Diego and started a family. He worked as a welder at 32 ^nd Street Naval Base in downtown San Diego. In 1982, he moved to New York with his family where he stayed until he retired in 2012. At which time he became a snowbird and lived in New York for the summer and during the winter he resided in Florida. In 2017 he decided to stay in Florida full time.

He is survived by his 5 children and 3 stepchildren: Sheri (Mike) Casey of Ramona, CA., James Willis of Ramona, CA., Jason Willis of Sebastian, FL., Jeremy (Cynthia) Willis of Rineyville, KY., Kimberly (Chris) Maxwell of Vero Beach, FL., Daniel (Patty) Lynch of Shirley, NY., Patricia Woodin of Sebastian, FL., Hannah (Frank) Lloyd of Sebastian, FL.  19 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Sisters, Margaret June (Thomas) Allen of Middleburg, FL and Veta Willis of Iowa. Brothers, Charles (Letitia) Fitts of Houston, TX and Russ (Tina) Willis of Iowa. Ex-wives Lynn Henwrinkle of Ramona, CA and Margaret Kroboth of Sebastian, FL.

A memorial service will be held at the Sebastian Inlet of Melbourne Beach, FL on October 12, 2019 at 1300 hrs. (1:00 pm)

Spreading of his ashes and memorial will be held in San Diego, CA in 2020, Time and place will be announced later.
