Gizella "Babe" Ballas passed away August 10, 2016 at Consulate Health Care in Vero Beach, FL, after a prolonged illness.

Gizella was born in Cleveland, OH and was a resident of Indian River County for 41 years coming from Newbury, OH. Before her retirement she worked for Keens Supermarket in Vero Beach, FL. She was of the Russian Orthodox faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward A. Ballas, Sr.; sister, Anne Latuk; and brother, Nickolas Zima. Her survivors include sons, Michael Ballas of Sebastian, FL, John Ballas of Crescent, PA, and Edward A. Ballas of Reno, NV; and grandchildren, Melody Ballas, Bethany Ballas and Joshua Ballas all of Reno. NV.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to VNA Hospice House.

A Viewing is scheduled from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Seawinds Funeral Home, 735 S Fleming Street, Sebastian, FL with a Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 pm in the chapel.
