Harry Gunn Evans, 94, of Vero Beach, FL, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2011, at the VNA Hospice House of Vero Beach.

Harry was born October 28, 1916 in Whitwell, TN, and moved here 30 years ago from Franklin Lakes, NJ. He was a WWII Army veteran, a Georgia Tech alumni and ROTC member, and worked as an engineer at Sam Braen Construction in Wyckoff, NJ.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Doris Evans of Vero Beach, daughter Jan Bott of Pikeville, TN, son Barry Evans of Charleston, W.Va., 5 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. Harry is predeceased by one son William Pope Evans.
No services are planned at this time.
