Sebastian, Florida – Henry Russell King, Jr., 91, passed away on March 18, 2025, in Sebastian, Florida. Born on December 10, 1933, Henry was a dedicated educator who spent his career shaping young minds in the Dade County Public School system. He served as the head of the business department at North Miami Senior High, where he was respected for his commitment to education and mentorship. Henry was a devoted husband to his wife, Carol, and a loving father to his children, Henry, Randall, Rodney, and Suzanne. He also cherished his son-in-law, James, and daughter-in-law, Gina. His grandchildren Emily, James, Eric, Rachel, Sean, and Sarah brought him great joy, as did his great-granddaughters, Adalyn and Kennedy. He is also survived by his beloved sister, Leilani. He was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Hazel, and his brother, Ronald, each of whom he missed dearly.

Beyond his professional life, Henry had a deep love for music. Henry played clarinet and saxophone and traveled throughout Latin America as a lead player for the University of Miami band. He enjoyed spending time with his children exploring Florida, weekend boating trips, and traveling to the Appalachian mountains. Later in life he enjoyed peace and tranquility with his wife Carol, whom he adored, listening to music, vacationing with family and watching movies. A man of warmth and kindness, Henry was deeply loved by those who knew him. His legacy of love and dedication to family will be cherished forever.

A service will be held at Seawinds Funeral Home, 735 South Fleming Street, Sebastian, FL 32958 on Monday, March 24th at 11 a.m. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
