Hope Valerie Blakeslee, 72, of Sebastian, FL died Sunday, January 29, 2012 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.

Mrs. Blakeslee was born February 14, 1939 in Trenton, NJ and moved to Sebastian 13 years ago from Tuckerton, NJ.

She had been a supervisor for Verizon (New Jersey Bell) prior to her retirement.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years Lawrence Blakeslee of Sebastian; daughter Melody Carr of Bordertown, NJ; son Edward Blakeslee of Limerick, PA; daughter Sherrie Morton of Sebastian; daughter Hope Horner of Fieldsboro, NJ; daughter Larriene Ojeda Bristol, PA; daughter Tracy Todd of Clarksville, TN; son Lawrence Blakeslee, Jr. of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; sixteen grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son Walter Keith Blakeslee.

Service: The family will receive friends 5-7PM, Thursday, February 2, 2012 at the Seawinds Funeral Home in Sebastian, FL with a Life Celebration Service beginning at 7PM at the funeral home with Rev. Ron Thomas officiating.
