Irene Schmitt, cherished mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed peacefully at home in the presence of her loving children and grandchildren on December 11, 2016. Born on January 8, 1931 on Long Island, NY, Irene lived a full life, then relocated to Sebastian, FL with her adoring husband, Paul in 1995. Her son, Richard and daughter-in-law, Dolores also relocated to be close to her. After many wonderful years of memories, Irene has found eternal peace. Her quick wit and strength of character will continue bringing laughter and inspiration to her family members for many years to come. Irene will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. May God hold her in the palm of His hand until we meet again.
