Irene Martha (Kvetder) Tucker of Sebastian, Florida, born on September 20, 1933, formerly of Foxon and New Haven, CT and Margate, FL died peacefully on May 12, 2020 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach, Florida following a lengthy illness.

Irene was predeceased by her husband Ira Ogten Tucker in 2009 and parents Matthew and Martha Kvetder, brother Joseph Kvetder and nephew Albert Kvetder.
Irene is survived by her son Frederick H. Maio, Jr. and his wife Sally of Sebastian, Florida. She is also survived by her niece Linda Celotto and her husband Anthony of Northford, CT and their children and grandchildren.

Seawinds of Sebastian is handling arrangements but there will be no local viewing. Mrs. Tucker's cremains will be interred at a family plot graveside service at St. Agnes Cemetery in Branford, CT at a later date.

Irene was an animal lover and rescued several cats and dogs for many years. Anyone wanting to honor her memory, could make a donation to Halo of Sebastian, Indian River County Humane Society or ASPCA.
