IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jacquelyn
Fellows
January 16, 1933 – March 21, 2021
With deep sadness, the family of Jacquelyn G. Fellows shares that she passed away peacefully, at her home in Sebastian, FL, in March of 2021. Born in 1933 in Hartford, CT, "Jackie" lived most of her life in that state. She married Walter B. Fellows in 1965, and they were married nearly 50 years before he preceded her in death in 2014.
Jackie was very artistic. She loved to paint and try various crafts, including stained glass, sewing, and home décor projects. Always the perfectionist, she was rarely content with her creations, although her family applauded her accomplishments. She also enjoyed gardening and growing unusual plants and flowers. Whenever she and Walt would travel, her favorite souvenirs were seeds or clippings from new plants she spotted. She would then experiment with growing these treasures at home…sometimes being surprised by the results.
Jackie was also well read. There were very few subjects upon which she did not keep herself versed, from news to history to health care. Nearly every day of her life, she also spent time in novels that captured her imagination.
She worked as a bookkeeper or secretary for various companies in Connecticut while raising her four beloved children. Upon retirement, Walter and Jackie spent time enjoying the beautiful lake country of Maine before deciding to settle near the beaches of Florida. A strong work ethic and sense of integrity were important to Walter and Jackie, and are a valued part of the legacy they gave their family.
Jackie is survived by her children, William Henderling (Lynn) of Connecticut, Lynn Landry-Bartholomew of South Carolina, Walter Fellows (Brenda) of Texas, Ward Fellows (Rosanne Socci) of Florida and step- daughter, Ginger Taddeo (Vince) of Ohio as well as 8 grandchildren, and 5 great-grand children.
In lieu of flowers, Jackie requested donations be made in her honor to her favorite charity:
North Indian River County Library
1001 Sebastian Blvd
Sebastian, FL 32958
Or through their website: irclibrary.org
A memorial and burial service will take place at the South Florida National Cemetery in May, where Walter is also buried.
