James (Jim) Harrington Brungard, 86, of Sebastian, Florida passed away peacefully on August 24, 2018 at Sebastian River Medical Center, Sebastian, Florida.

Jim was born in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania to Paul and Helen Brungard on December 6, 1931.  Jim became a resident of Florida after leaving Pennsylvania in 1974.  Jim was a veteran of the Armed Forces of the United States of America where he served four years.  Jim worked at Piper Aircraft for 50 years and was a member of Sebastian Christian Church.

Jim is survived by his devoted wife Sharon Keplinger Brungard. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Elizabeth Vivian Brungard and a brother Rogers Hornsby Brungard.  He is survived by his sister Thelma Ruth Lucas, four children: Janet Mock Weaver, James Jr, Barbara Brungard, and Barry Brungard; two daughter-in laws Shara and Beth Brungard; three step children Terri Casserly Wodtke, Vince Casserly and Shara Brungard; thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

Jim will be missed as he was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather leaving his family with many memories.

Family and friends will honor and celebrate Jim's life by gathering for a Memorial Service on Saturday September 8, 2018 at 2:00pm at Sebastian Christian Church, 190 Day Drive, Sebastian, Florida .
