James R. Galentine age 78, passed away on 1/26/2016 in Sebastian, FL.
Jim was born April 7, 1937 in Columbus, Ohio where he met his future wife Martha. They were married February 16, 1963 and moved to Florida in 1964. In 1979, they moved to Phoenix, AZ where he started working for the State of Arizona. He retired from the Arizona State Department of Transportation in Phoenix, AZ in 1999 and moved to Sebastian in 2010.
He fully enjoyed retirement and spent most of his time doing home projects and relaxing as well as looking after his grandkids. He liked fishing, golf and watching football. He also enjoyed an occasional trip to the casinos with his wife. He liked the small town life in Sebastian and was happiest when all his children and grandchildren were around.
He was preceded in death by his father Francis Galentine, mother Rachel Galentine as well as four brothers, John, Delbert, Francis and Robert. He is survived by his wife Martha Galentine, daughter Becki Martin, sons Tony and Brian Galentine, daughter Anna Galentine, grandsons Danny Martin and Ethan Galentine and granddaughter Ruth Galentine. One great-granddaughter, Delainey Martin. Four siblings, Eileen White, Mary Lou Marvin, William Galentine, Larry Galentine and many nieces and nephews.
We all love and miss him very much and his passing leaves a huge void in our lives. He will forever be in our hearts.
