James D. Hojnacki, 75, of Sebastian, FL, passed away July 11, 2018 peacefully in his home surrounded by family.  James was born in 1942 in Chicago, IL and a resident of Sebastian since moving here from Streamwood, IL. James served 4 years in the US Navy 1960-63 on the USS Saratoga.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Jacqueline (Mikolajczyk), his daughters, Joyce (David) Miller of Linton IN, JoAnn (Dan) Guilfoil of McDonald, PA, and 7 grandchildren, Daniel, Hannah, Ryan, Matthew, Kyle, Catie, and Peyton.  Siblings:  Stan (Marilou) Honacki, Vicki, Mary (Bill Olson) Hojnacki, and David (Patricia) Hojnacki.Brother-in Law, Walter (Barbara) Mikolajczyk, loving Uncle to nieces and nephews.

James worked as a Lithographer as his professional career.  After retiring he enjoyed working at Harper College in Palatine.  After moving to Sebastian, FL  he demonstrated his leadership in his retirement community Park Place by being the number one photographer for all events including the Wall of Honor.  He's favorite past time was running BINGO weekly at the clubhouse.

Family and friends will honor Jim with a Celebration of Life in a gathering together at the Park Place clubhouse, 2209 E Lakeview Dr, Sebastian, FL 32958 at 11am.  Services at 12 noon with lunch to follow on August 4, 2018.

A second Celebration of Life will take place in Streamwood, Illinois at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in James's name to the VNA Hospice House, 901 37th street Vero Beach, FL 32960 .
