James L. O'Hara, 80, of Cazenovia, NY and Sebastian, FL passed away on April 16, 2015 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach, FL. He was born in Cazenovia, NY the son of the late Edward and Cecilia Collins O'Hara. He served honorably in the US Air Force from 1952 to1956 after which he drove for Syracuse Teamsters Local 370 for various trucking companies over many years.
Jim was proud of his Irish heritage and took great satisfaction in helping others in any way he could. His warmth, wit and humor were enjoyed by all who knew him, especially his children and grandchildren.
Jim was predeceased by his brother Robert and his sister Gladys. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Lois and his beloved pet Benji; 2 children, Leslie Wright of Kirkville and Douglas (Leshia) O'Hara of South Otselic; 7 stepchildren, Donna (Phil) Norman of Canastota, Michael (Anna) Parisou of Cazenovia, Lorrie (Robert) Preston of Mechanicsburg, PA, Linda Spicer of Binghamton, David (Melissa) Spicer of Manlius, Craig (Catherine) Spicer of Fabius, and William (Leah) Spicer of Manlius; his sister Peg (Bernie) Hughes of Cazenovia and his brothers Richard (Kim) O'Hara of Gahanna, OH and John (Phyllis) O'Hara of New Woodstock; 18 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. We love you and will miss you, Jim.
